The Information Technology team supports a global workforce for our client's Philanthropies Division. As a Desktop Technician, you will be on the frontline for most technical support issues within the organization. You will respond to emails and phone calls and assist users on software, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, basic network troubleshooting and audio visual support. We're looking for someone to work the late shift from 10am-7pm.

In this exciting entry-level position, you'll spend a lot of time gaining a comprehensive introduction to the enterprise technology within the organization. This is a great opportunity to expand your technical skills and grow within the team.

Your end users and colleagues will depend on you to:

  •  Provide customer service to employees on inbound phone calls and emails
  •  Track these incidents and requests within the service desk management system
  •  Triage/resolve level 1 issues for computer systems, software, printers and phones
  •  Escalate issues to other teams (Tier 2, Systems, Security, Networking, Applications, AV)
  •  Provide guidance to users on hardware and software questions/issues
  •  Document and track the issue to ensure a timely resolution
  •  Install, upgrade and repair computer hardware
  •  Maintain and support laptops and mobile devices
  •  Support printers and swap toner as needed
  •  Track and update asset data and ensure stock room has proper supplies
  •  Create Help Desk related purchase orders

You'll need to have:

  •  Significant experience supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows, mobile devices and related technologies
  •  Proven experience in service desk operations
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
  •  Experience documenting troubleshooting steps and creating knowledge base articles
  •  The ability to work extended and flexible hours
