What part will you play?
Our client engages with hundreds of millions of consumers around the world on web, mobile, television and movie screens. The Consumer Intelligence
 team aggregates and analyzes data generated by these platforms to support digital advertising strategies for Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Digital Entertainment Group and Interactive Entertainment divisions. As our Big Data Engineer, you will design, develop, orchestrate, and implement complex Data Pipelines indexing to our ElasticSearch Cluster. Our system blends data from dozens of internal and third party sources. Your job will be to manage and own the Technology that enables lightning fast data access through In-Memory, NoSQL, and Search Technologies. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that Data access performance meets agreed upon SLAs and that code is rock solid. You will be responsible for design, development, unit-testing, and setting up monitoring for ongoing support. The Big Data NoSQL/Search Engineer will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt to new technologies and new ideas. 


What will you be doing?
  • Data Integration – Design and develop new source system integrations from a variety of formats including files, database extracts and APIs.
  • Data Pipelines – Design and develop highly scalable Data Pipelines that incorporate complex transformations and efficient code. Data will need to flow to and from unstructured and relational systems for analytic processing.
  • Data Delivery – Design and develop solutions for delivering data that meets SLAs and is of high quality to various WB divisions for marketing and reporting as well as external vendors.
  • Operations and Tuning - Investigate problems and resolve as required, including working with various internal teams and vendors. Proactively monitor the data flows with a focus on continued performance improvements.

What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant ElasticSearch experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year working with AWS S3 and Hadoop Solutions.
  • Expert in developing on ElasticSearch, Kibana and the Elastic Stack.
  • Expert in SQL and Python and developing data extraction applications.
  • Experience with data movement and transformation technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Experience operating a production ETL/ELT solution.
  • Expert problem solver with experience troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Experience making large volumes of data actionable.
  • Experience using Git or SVN and Jira.
  • Experience integrating external APIs.
  • Experience working with Apache Spark, Hive.
  • Experience with Java or Scala a plus.
  • Experience with Ad platforms or CRM solutions a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with analytical platforms a plus.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Entertainment and/or Social Media experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Must be service-oriented.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
