The Intelligence Tribe is responsible for building innovative software products which extract actionable insights from our petabytes of data, through high-performance big data workflows, machine learning, and cutting-edge distributed infrastructure spread across the globe.

We are currently hiring for a backend Software Engineer, well versed in developing complex enterprise applications to build low-latency services and APIs.  Our language of choice at the moment is Go.

Previous experience with Go is very strongly preferred.   As a part of the interview process our Technical Challenge specifies that it be done in Go, so you'll need to demonstrate you are willing and able (which we’ll take that into account when reviewing it!).

Our customers use our suite of Intelligence products optimize every consumer interaction. We transform data into real-time, machine learning-powered decisioning that improves over time, measure the true incremental performance impact of marketing on business outcomes and close the loop between insight and action.

We work in a fast-paced environment and are seeking someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a distributed team.  This is an ideal opportunity for a builder with a passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality
  • Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
  • Own parts of the system and continuously work to improve them in an agile environment
  • Use processes to collaboratively perform feature-based development, code reviews and releases
  • Follow secure coding best practices

What you’ll need:


  • BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, related degree, or strong comparable experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience developing backend, complex enterprise applications


  • Strong understanding of software architecture, OO principles and common design patterns
  • Experience with Golang (Go) is very strongly preferred 
  • ScalaC++ are good proxies for “you've probably worked with the right sorts of stuff in a similar environment” 
  • Experience with big data infrastructure, including Hadoop and Spark preferred


  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional character
  • Interest, willingness and demonstrated ability to quickly pick up new technology quickly
